General Questions

GQ1: How does one place an order ?

We suggest you place an order by telephoning us at: +86-20-80952513,+86-0-13662375216, faxing us at: +86-20-80952513, or by e-mailing us at: debugcard@163.com. Our company hours are: 9:00am to 5:30pm, Beijing Standard time, Monday through Friday. Orders placed can not be cancelled after a 30 day period. Order quantity change will incur a price adjustment based on actual quantity ordered or shipped.


GQ2: What are the best shipping methods ?

The most common methods of shipping are as follows: Fedex, UPS, DHL, Airborne and Emery.we suggest you use Fedex, UPS, DHL, Airborne or Emery. To use one of these carriers, we need you to provide your company's shipper account number as we are unable to estimate the cost of tax and duty, where applicable. If it is inconvenient to use your own company's account number to ship against, we recommend you have us ship by way of DHL Collect (they will collect the shipping fees, tax and duty fees upon delivery). Other options for overseas shipping are: Express Mail or Global Priority Mail, through the CHINA postal carrier. Express Mail delivery is generally within one week. Global Priority Mail is the least expensive method, generally takes 1-2 weeks delivery time but only delivers to certain areas and is not guaranteed (no signature is required).


GQ3: What is the repair and upgrade policy offered?

If you have a board that you wish to have repaired, you may contact us for an RMA (return merchandise authorization) number. Star Empery offers a repair service as a courtesy to our customers. The flat rate for repairs to bus isolation extenders is $30.00 per board. This does not include the cost for new parts should they need to be replaced. If your board needs a new product, the additional cost would be $15.00 each. If your board is damaged beyond repair or you have an older revision that you wish to upgrade, we will take your old board in on trade for a new board at half the list price.


GQ4: How does one buy spare parts?

You may purchase spare parts directly from Star Empery Electronics, Inc. Please contact us for correct part numbers and pricing on all spare parts.


GQ5: What does it take to get a custom R&D product made?

To obtain a quote for a custom designed card, we would need you to provide us with the necessary details, function, dimension, and mechanical information. We would need to know your desired quantity and preferred lead time. The average lead time for a custom designed product is typically 8 weeks. If you wish to have one of our existing product modified, the cost would then be based on a minimum order of 1000 pieces. The lead time would generally be 2-3 weeks. The price would be based on our list price for the first 100 boards. After the first 100 pieces, our volume discount schedule will apply.


GQ6: What is the return and exchange policy on extenders?

You may return a product for credit or exchange it for a different product within a 30 day period, provided the product has not been used. However, only one exchange or return is allowed per order. If you receive a product that is defective due to parts or labor, we will be happy to take the product back and issue you a new one. All defected material must also be returned within 30 days.

GQ7: Do you offer free samples for evaluation?

We do not offer free product samples. However, we do offer our product for a 30 day evaluation period. We still require a company purchase order or credit card to process a 30 day evaluation order. If you wish to return the product within the 30 day period, we will not charge your purchasing department or refund your credit card (shipping charges are not refundable).
